Road Transport & Infrastructural cooperation
Road transport and infrastructure development are key drivers of economic growth and job creation. Constructing roads, bridges, and tunnels that link people to health establishments, markets, jobs, and schools can significantly improve the living conditions in rural communities. Since transport infrastructure is instrumental for economic and social development and is crucial under the Green Deals’ external dimension, the EU allocates a considerable share of its cooperation budget to this sector through different modalities.
We render advisory services on the economics and funding programmes of road transport and infrastructure development, including urban and rural transport infrastructure. We tailor our consulting services to each client’s specific needs and project requirements.
Specifically:
- We assist clients with the conception, elaboration and implementation of development cooperation programmes by contributing appropriate execution strategies in the area of infrastructure, including transport, sanitation and water.
- We advise clients on EU transport legislation, particularly on Heavy Duty Vehicles CO2 emission standards and environmental effects with particular emphasis of meeting the EU climate and energy 2020 and 2030 targets.
- We contribute in preparing and following up grant agreements for projects by determining whether the projects have been carried out in compliance with EU grant procedures.
